It is a fact that if you skip breakfast you will have the tendency to go more hungry thus crave for unhealthy foods, besides, eating breakfast will help you power throughout the day.

The next pointer to avoid gaining pounds when you quit smoking is to keep yourself adequately hydrated. Note that drinking plenty of water will make us full thus we avoid feeling hungry all the time, so you can aim for 6-8 glasses of water daily.

Your next pointer is to chew gum and make this the habit and a distraction to take the place of smoking cigarette. You may be one of those who are experiencing nicotine withdrawal symptoms, and so to satisfy yourself, you can take instead a nicotine gum.

We always hear that diet is not enough and that you should get into exercising too, and so this is our next advice to you to avoid gaining weight when you quit smoking, and that is you exercise. Note that a regular workout routine will help you in your situation, plus an exercise is good for your mind, will relieve your stress, anxiety and irritability while you cut off your smoking habit.

Another great way to help you quit smoking and lose weight in the process is to get the support of your friends and families, and you can do this by making them your buddy gym or helping you out in the kitchen to make sure you are preparing the right foods.
